FINALLY

Kaylee Christine is crawling forward. Yes she has found her way! She still likes to scoot backwards and do an occasional roll here and there, but something has clicked and she is now a crawling maniac. Its a funny little straight leg push every couple crawls, but nonetheless she's a pro!

Kaylee is still a clever child. I tried to make her crawl to me, but instead she crawled to my mom who was way closer and then pointed at me like "hello Grandma take me over there." She also booked it over to Aunt Annie when she saw that she had ice cream. What can I say, she's a girl who knows what she wants! So congrats Kaylee. You Rock!

PS JOHNNY GETS HOME TOMORROW!

Good Times & Easter

So as far as the going to Private it seems like such a hassle. I've decided just to be more discrete about my information for now. So all still enjoy!

We took these at the park Saturday with Kaylee. She loved the eggs. She didn't understand that they had stuff in them, but she loved trying to put them in her mouth and banging them together. We had a great time at the park together Saturday. Kaylee smelled like a little kid after recess when we got home. Good fun! Now as for Easter we had a lovely time at the Packs. Yummy food, some Rock Band for entertainment and of course Kaylee to give us some beautiful candid moments!

OH YEAH Elder Shepherd comes home in exactly 1 week! YEAH!

What is that mom?

Trying a leaf

Not a fan!
HAPPY EASTER with Auntie Kylie! (she was happy)

Plus here are a few from last week just for fun!

I'm so Clever!

So happy to Seeing Daddy!

She loves her lamb! (and mama)

Starting to get paranoid.

I had no idea that people put their blogs to private because they were worried about creepy people looking at them BUT now I do and I am freaked out. I thought I was being irrational merely laughing at the people who said they were going to make their blogs private so people wouldn't see their kids and want to come and get them, but then my sister-in-law and Shane both said maybe it would be a good idea.

SO moral of the story, if you like our blog and want to continue to enjoy it please email me your email address or bye bye packs.

(Do you think I am being silly?)

Where to start

Well...
I am starting to get REALLY excited for my brother to come home which happens to be in 12 days! WOW! (Now on to the important stuff)

Kaylee is now an expert in the art of backwards crawling. She has that part down she just hasn't got that you can also go forward. So she still sticks to rolling and her awkward side drag for now.

She also is clapping better. She use to "bravo" clap as we call it which is pretty self explanatory. Well now she gets that you actually separate the hand and then bring them together However she only does that with one hand as demonstrated here. (will get the video on when it will load!)

She points! She points at what she wants and where she wants to go sometimes. She adds a grunt occasionally, but mostly its just the pointing!

She loves her daddy. She points to him in pictures and then says his name. At this I could still be in denial because she could just be saying the sounds and then by chance point at him. Well then she pointed at him the other night, said his name and reached for him so I guess I can now sort of admit she might be actually saying dada where it means Shane.

She gets into everything! I truly need to rearrange the entire apartmen
t. This particular time I came in and she just smiled at me while holding all the stuff she had pulled down.

She Shares! Well when she wants to. She was baffeled when some friends came over and were playing with her toys. You should have seen her face. It was priceless. BUT when she does want to share its sweet!

and lastly she loves
sweets! (No explanation necessary)

*And I guess I should say
SOMETHING about the other two Pack members:) Shane is loving his job and it is nice because we get to see him. Shara enjoys her new challenge of working with the 10-11 year old girls in Activity Days and of course loves being a mama!

Lets play TAG

My Bestie Sibby Tagged me so here we go.. Facts about me you were all just dying to know!

What were you doing ten years ago?

I was 13. I was a 7th grader at Mills Middle School. GO MUSTANGS! I wore knee socks and Fila shoes and thought I was a gangster. Unfortunately I was just entering the "wear brown lip liner and have bug antenna bangs" stage. It was interesting. Shane calls it my very ugly stage. I have proof in the form of a one-hour photo shoot where I am wearing tent leg pants, a friends pager on my waist and mugging the camera (or in my case TRYING to not smile). I even was on the school's basketball team...wow! I think I made a total of 10 points that whole year, but do believe I was the best defender around. Yea boy! I was also just starting to perform in a group called Galena Street East. The very beginning of my Galena years! Eventually I was blessed with the wonder called braces (thank heaven) and luckily realized you didn't/SHOULDN'T wear 5 gallons of dark makeup and your hair in a half pulled through pony tail! Good times!

What were you doing five years ago?

I was 18. I had just graduated from Cordova High School and ended my journey with Galena Street East Performing group. After our tour to DisneyWorld and our Carribean cruise I headed up to Rexburg Idaho with my girlfriend Mindy. That is where I met my twin and Soul mate Elizabeth LaPorta. Little did I know the fun we would have that first semester of college. Spilling orange juice, modeling, taking naps, eating confetti cake, blackmailing with sponge Bob, Taco Bell runs, Frisbee with Cameron etc. I also joined the Folk Team there with good old Brother West and the Burley Boys. Those were some great times. The winter was AWFUL but I actually had a good time overall and met some great people. I dated and tried to be as social as possible with no car and no money! That is the year I chopped off my long locks. That summer I kind of lost my brain but that is for another day.

Five things on my to-do list today:
1. Drink tons of water so I don't die at Pump class tonight.
2. Paint Kaylee's fingernails when she's asleep.
3. Buy stuff for my Activity Day on Wednesday.
4. Call my mom.
5. Finally try to order some pictures online so I have some printed out of Kaylee.

What snacks I enjoy:
I just love to snack and that is my problem! I love chips and salsa, oreos with milk, pasta, bread, anything with almonds, ice cream...I could go on forever. I just love food!

What would I do if I suddenly became a billionaire?
Pay off stuff and buy an island :)

Three bad habits?
1. I pick my lip.
2. I talk pretty loud!
3. I slouch a little (or so my family tells me)

Five places I've lived:
1. Rancho Cordova, CA
2. Rexburg, ID
3. Alpine, UT
4. Emeryville, CA
5. Provo, UT

Five jobs I've had:
1. Cookie Creations (best first job ever! Eat cookies and get $7 paychecks)
2. Hostess/Server- Brookfields, Wingers, CrApplebees
3. Melaleuca
4. Substitute Teacher (at 8 months pregnant)
5. MOMMY

Five things you don't know about me:
1. I can get pretty OCD about stuff sometimes (thanks Dad)
2. I use to be pretty vain and had what we will call "mirroritis." Its when you always look at yourself in the mirror (or in the case of someone that had my condition anything that you could see your reflection out of).
3. I pinned a kid down in first grade and kissed him! He still hates me for it!
4. APPARENTLY I can't say "L's" especially when I say told and hold. *Thanks Carrie :)
5. I have an alter ego named Crazy Girl (just ask Shane- he LOVES her)

TAG..you're it! *which means I TAG...

Kaylee the Hoarder

Kaylee is a little hoarder. Whenever she is playing she has to have all her toys next to her. In the tub she has to have all her fishies by her side or in her lap. It is hilarious. She'll play and play and then have to look and make sure her other toys are still next to her before she gets back to what he is doing. Then when she eats sge'll take a bite and keep it in her cheeks. I usually don't notice until I go to give her another bite and see little bits of pasta or whatever still in her mouth. So cute! So that is why I thought it was SO funny that when I checked her at nap time and saw this! What a silly girl. Even during sleep she has to hog her toys!

Day at the park!

My mom came into town unexpectedly this weekend and we had a very enjoyable time. She was only here two days but we were able to fill them up pretty good. The best part is that we took Kaylee to the park for the first time and she LOVED it! She loved the swings and was especially fond of those rocking animals. It was a great time. Thanks Mom, we love you!

ALSO I sincerely apologize for the latest posts. Shane's remarks were completely unsanctioned :) No offense honey but no more sports rants!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE B!

Its my Bestest Friend Bailey's Birthday today! Happy Birthday Gill! Hope its a great one! The big 23 (or according to my card you didn't age :) sorry I am completely losing it lately! You are the greatest friend a girl could ask for. We've seen the best and worst of times together and have always been by each others side. I love you so much for that! You're the Best!

A Clarification

Thank you Mr. Fehlberg for bringing to my attention the obvious, yet overlooked, tone that was all too apparent in my last post. Please understand, in no way am I anything even remotely resembling a "Jazz Fan". I know, my last post did leave that impression, and for that I sincerely apologize. Please know that my frustration revolves solely around the fact that I think the Jazz are a mediocre team who occasionally play at a competitive level. Oh, let it be clear- I bleed red. Rockets Red. And as everyone knows no die-hard Rockets fan can ever, and I mean ever, watch a Jazz game without rooting for the other team. (Even if that other team is the Hawks, or the Heat). I have a hard time even wearing blue around here just because I want to avoid the possibility of being linked to that franchise. Let me know Jazz fans, when you guys win 19 straight with a lineup of rookies and has-beens. That's really all I have to say about that.

The GREATEST invention of ALL TIME!

Okay, so this blog is typically a medium for Shara to post pictures of our little angel just so you all can see how much cuter she is than all the other babies you know, but today you are graced with a completely and utterly pointless post by Shane.

Before my video of my latest invention- A Rant. What is up with the Jazz? I know there have to be some men who read this. Do any of you have any idea how that team can play like a group of perennial all-stars one night, and the next night play worse than the First Colony Middle School 7th Grade Girls B team?? I mean come on. They beat the Nuggets tonight by 30. This is the same Nuggets team who beat the talented Grandpa's of San Antonio IN San Antonio the night before. Not like the Jazz have a chance getting through the West Playoffs anyway, but still it would be nice to see a little consistency. Tangent- The Spurs are HANDS DOWN the MOST BORING TEAM TO EVER PLAY THE GAME. PERIOD.

Okay, and now for the unveiling of...well, I don't really even know what to call this thing. I just hope it doesn't cost more than 5 bucks or I there is no way Shara will let me get it.

CHEESE

just cause....for my family!

Where did my baby go?

I feel like it was yesterday when I was going through the miracle called labor...which in my case was no miracle at all until Kaylee was actually here! But here I am with a 9 1/2 month old just wondering where my little baby went. Wah! She'll be a year here before we know it. Which reminds me what should I do for her birthday bash?!?
Well on a happier note Shane has quite the eye when it comes to taking pictures of our little girl. She isn't that bad of subject herself which makes it a little easier!

PS I have no idea whats on her nose? We don't keep her dirty I swear :)

Meeting Sydney

Kaylee met our friends baby Sydney on Saturday and she went crazy! She loves little babies but she was squealing, flailing her arms, laughing and just having a blast. Poor little Sydney didn't know what to think of her older and louder friend. It was so cute how excited Kaylee was! There were a few times when Sydney cried because Kaylee was trying to poke her or was grabbing her socks. Overall she was a good sport. Thanks Sydney!

Our Messy, Silly, crazy, loud..... Girl :)

Little Miss Kaylee loves getting messy, being noisy and making faces. Here are some just down right adorable pictures of our little one!

Our little Cheese ball with Auntie Katie! She smiles and pushes her bottom teeth in front of her top!

Sweet Little baby giving her mama some hugs! She pats my shoulder!

Kaylee loves Chocolate Ice cream...she even likes the lick it herself like a little snake.

Not to show that we like to see her cry, but to show you all the artwork she did on her face with a pen

Squinty smiles
