So like I said we are home in Sacramento for the holidays this year. Kaylee enjoyed her first Christmas and even met the big guy himself, Mr. Claus (without even crying may I add) It has been wonderful being around my family and it was so cool to be able to talk to my brother who is on his mission in Culiacan Mexico. He has such an accent. He sounds like Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite!! It was so funny. He is doing so well. He has less than 3 months left and we can't hardly wait.
Christmas was nice. It was really fun seeing everyone and their reactions to the gifts we gave them. I guess we're kind of at that point with Christmas now. Finally loving the giving more than the receiving (don't get me wrong I still LOVE the receiving) but it was such a cool thing watching my family get excited with what we gave them. Kaylee was totally excited about the bows and ribbon. She loved all the stuff she got, but was more concerned with trying to eat the tissue paper! Her grandparents and Aunts and Uncles sure spoiled her this year. It is such a blessing to see how much they adore our little girl! She is so lucky to have so much love in her life. Even her Auntie B and Grammy Dee got her a gift. The cutest little tutu ever!
Shane and I are enjoying the company of family and good friends. Unfortunately I am also enjoying the yummy food and holiday treats we have around. I definitely need to stick to my New Year's Resolution this year and get in shape! It has been a blast playing cards late into the night and watching LOST! I love being with my mom and sisters!
It is also so amazing to see Kaylee growing up right before our eyes. She has so many new little talents (I use to say tricks but someone said that is only for dogs) She smacks her tongue mimicking Katie chewing gum, she does the kiss noise and now has found her tongue. She makes new sounds everyday and purses her lips together hard when she doesn't want what you are trying to feed her. She loves cell phones and hasn't been fooled by the old broken one we've tried to trick her with. She is actually a little sick right now and Shane and I are so sad for our little baby.
We will be here for just a little bit longer and then it is back to the snow. Of that I am not excited but it will be good to see Family and friends in Utah. Here are some pictures from our holiday festivities. ENJOY!
